Snow At Last!!!
I love snow!! I love cold!!! It is the perfect scenario for soup!!! I have much cooking on my agenda for the weekend. http://paleomg.com/breakfast-bacon-maple-meatballs/#.UPn01fdmAAA.facebook
SUGAR IS BAD....(thats me,not the Dr.) but check this out. The person writing this piece, Kritsten Mascia asks "How did our sugar problem get so out of hand?" the answer " Of the 600,000 packed foods available in America, about 80% have added sweeteners. There are 56 names for it. The food industry hides it." Then this was the best question "So ,how do we protect our selves?" and this is the best answer "The best way is to eat real food, which doesnt need a label. The more labels your reading, the more junk your buying."
And that my friends is the truth.EAT REAL FOOD!!! We need to get back to actual cooking!!!!!
One day I will figure out all the adding stuff...but for now, dear reader, its not so easy to me that I can!!HOWEVER!! this is one dish

I cooked a huge chicken the other night, along with a pot of mixed greens. Greens are a wonderful dish when cooked right,I add onion and pepper to mine.This batch I added a Red Pepper, it changed up the flavor a bit.Lat night I chopped up some of the chicken, sauteed some onion and pepper,added a little Barbecue Sauce and added some cheese for dinner...it was yummy
Now, onto another subject. There is a book that came out called "Fat Chance" by Robert H. Lustig M.D. that he was interviewed about in People Magazine. Fab!!!!!
Dinner tonight was Fabulous!!! Dinner tomorrow night will be even better!! Never cooked Spaghetti Squash before, but, having that with a butter garlic herb infusions and mussels and shrimp!!! YUMM

Needs Not To Be Lazy Any Longer
Well, Dads moves slower than ...we all know the saying. I am going to muddle thru cleaning the cupboards out, even tho I feel pretty punk ( and not in the Rock kinda way).
I had breakfast a completely awesome scrambled eggs and bacon breakfast,even tho I'm trying to do a bit of fasting. Fasting now is not a horrible as it used to be, theres no hunger.I'm trying to burn off the sugar from the overload the past couple days.Its a micro fast if you will.BUT my plan is somewhat foiled by the fact I still have a medication that requires a meal and I forgot to take it.!!!!! So lunch is neceasary....booo....

Lazy Saturday
I yawn and stretch...Normal right? Then the first thing on my mind is getting the kitchen completely cleared out of all the crap I will never eat. Canned beans, boxed dinners,soup,SPAM(blech),cans of fruit.Things that,honestly,I will need to check dates on before I try and give it away.
Coming into, not fully, eating Paleo,Primal is not difficult but it is really pointing out how wasteful we are about food. It is also pointing out to me about some of the crappy choices I have made in the past.
Things that were marketed as healthy, to paraphrase a line from "Skinny Bitch" "When you see these labels fat-free, low fat ,interpret that to say CHEMICAL SHITSTORM " I tried to shy away from these things, but still find other items that now scare me. For along time I have been lead down the path that says this is better than that, when neither in truth are any good. Vegetable versus canola, sugar versus the pink,yellow or blue packet etc. etc.etc. It so much worse than that.
Anyway, that's not what this is about really. If you want the down and dirty there are plenty of resources.
This is about my journey back to more real food. Some of it has been a little weird.None unpleasant...just weird.LOL The 80/20 rule keeps me in check most of the time.I need to get over my candy addiction.I need to take a mere minute to get something out of the deep freeze in the morning so that the evil Drive-Thru doesn't pull me in when i'm driving home thinking there's nothing to eat. Other than that Im a happy little meat eater!!!
